Legends of Rupganj only needed one player to step up because they needed only 130 runs to win. Tanzid Hasan Tamim did it in style.  The young opener hit an amazing hundred, and all-rounder Mahedi Hasan had set the tone with the ball earlier.  They played so well together that they beat Partex Sporting Club by 10 wickets in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) on Sunday at BKSP.

Partex were all out for 129 runs in just 34.4 overs when they batted first. They couldn't get going against Rupganj's controlled bowling attack.  Only Rubel Mia (41) and Ahrar Amin Paean (24) scored more than 20 runs.

Mahedi was great with the ball. In his 10 overs, he got 4 wickets for just 34 runs, including a maiden.  He kept putting pressure on them and got important wickets at key moments.  Both Shoriful Islam and Rejaur Rahman Raja took two wickets, which helped break up Partex's weak batting order.

As Tanzid Hasan went after 130, he made sure there were no problems.  He attacked the bowlers right away and never looked back.  His 103, not out off 59 balls had a mind-boggling strike rate of 174.58 and had 10 fours and 7 sixes.

On the other end, captain Saif Hassan did a great job of backing Tanzid by getting 26 runs off of 53 balls, which let Tanzid take charge.

Rupganj reached the target in just 18.3 overs, which was one of the most one-sided wins in the league so far.
