Bijoy, Sabbir, Shamim fire as Gazi Group crush Partex by 170 runs in DPL 2024-25
Since Gazi Group lost the toss, they were asked to bat first. Even though they lost opener Munim Shahriar early on, the team was stable because leader Anamul Haque Bijoy and Sadikur Rahman worked well together. They put together a hundred-run stand before Sadikur was out for 46 off 53 balls.

Bijoy played with style and purpose and looked like he was going to get a hundred, but Tanvir Hossain bowled him out for 78. Even though there was a small problem in the middle, Gazi were in a strong situation after half-centuries from Sabbir Hossen (64* off 67) and Shamim Mia (53). Tofael Ahmed put on a show late in the game. He hit 37 runs off of just 20 balls, including four huge sixes, bringing the score to 302/7 in 50 overs.
During the chase, Partex never looked like it was in the running. With the score at 31, they lost opener Moinul Islam, and the rest of their batting order fell apart one by one. Only wicketkeeper Adil put up a fight; he is still unbeaten on 53, while four other players barely made it to ten.
Gazi Group's bowlers kept up the pressure, and Partex were finally bowled out for 132 runs, falling short by 170 runs.
