Pakistan national cricket team pacer Hasan Ali believes that strong on-field performances from local players in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 could lead fans to prefer watching the PSL over the Indian Premier League (IPL). The highly anticipated 10th edition of the PSL is set to kick off on Friday, April 11 with a big clash between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.

Speaking ahead of the tournament Hasan expressed confidence in the potential of the PSL to pull in viewers even while running concurrently with the IPL 2025.
“Of course, there should be good viewership, we’re clashing with the IPL but we only had this window to organise PSL. Only performance and entertainment grab viewership. So if we perform well during the entire PSL, then viewers will leave IPL and watch us,” Hasan said in an interview, as quoted by News18.
Hasan Ali also acknowledged that the form of the Pakistan national team has a direct impact on the popularity of the PSL.
“When the national team doesn’t perform well, it impacts franchise leagues like the PSL. Yes, our results haven’t been up to the mark from the Champions Trophy to the recent New Zealand tour. But when Pakistan does well, the PSL’s graph also rises,” he added.
A seasoned performer in the PSL Hasan has so far picked up 108 wickets in 82 matches at an impressive average of 22.96. His experience and leadership could prove vital for his side in PSL 10
