Pacer Hasan Mahmud did not have a good time in recent times. He could not perform well, on the contrary, he lost his place in the main XI. But Hasan wants to turn around well. He wants to retain his place on the national team.

Hasan Mahmud will play for Rangpur Riders in BPL. The one-time title winners have formed a good team this time with a mix of local and foreign like every time. Hasan hopes to improve under Shakib's leadership this time. 

Hasan said, "Last time we did well. We went to the semi-final, this time too there are good players in the team, there is Shakib bhai, there are good foreign players, InshaAllah we will do well."

Hasan is working on his bowling. Hasan emphasized on inswing-outswing with the new ball. Hasan is working with yorkers, back of hand, slower to diversify the bowling. “I try to bowl in one place at the start, try to inswing-outswing to make the batters struggle when I get the new ball. In terms of variations, I am trying to do yorkers, wide yorkers, back of hand, slower ones. (On power play bowling) At that time two fielders are out, I try to bowl well accordingly."

Even if he doesn't do well in the World Cup, Hassan's goal is to bowl in good places in front. He said he wants to keep his place. He also said that he is waiting for the Test match. "India's wicket batting was helpful, the bowlers struggled a lot, so did I. Of course I will try to hold my place and move forward. The aim is to hit the ball in a good place. If the batter still dominates then it is credit to the batter. Looking forward to playing Test, ODI, T20 Alhamdulillah going well. I will try to do better in the future,” Hasan added.

Among the wickets Hasan has taken, Rohit Sharma's is his favorite. He has a dream of playing in IPL, playing in other franchise leagues. Hasan is also optimistic about the bowling unit. He’s hoping to make a strong comeback. He said that Rohit Sharma's wicket is his favorite wicket.

“A player must have a dream to play in a franchise league and perform well. The effort will be to perform well in the domestic league, and national team. Then the rest will be seen InshaAllah. Yes, definitely I have a dream of playing in the IPL,” Hasan further said.

"Among the pacers, Shoriful is doing well, Tanzim Sakib is also doing well. We are in a supporting role. Overall our unit is very good. Taskin bhai will back up front, Ebadot bhai is recovering. All in all we will make a strong comeback InshaAllah."
