The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially banned South African national cricket team all-rounder Corbin Bosch for one year from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after he breached his contract with Peshawar Zalmi and chose to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) instead.

The 30-year-old was initially drafted by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond Category during the January 2025 PSL auction. However he later pulled out of the tournament to join Mumbai Indians (MI) as a replacement for fellow South African Lizaad Williams.
The PCB confirmed the decision in an official release on Thursday, April 10, stating that Corbin Bosch would not be eligible for selection in PSL 2026. The board emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward players breaching league commitments.
“Corbin Bosch breached his PSL contract by opting out without a valid reason. He will not be eligible for the next season and has been fined accordingly,” said a PCB spokesperson.
In response to the ban Bosch issued a heartfelt apology on PCB’s official platform. He admitted his mistake and took full responsibility.
“The HBL PSL is a prestigious tournament and I fully understand the disappointment caused by my actions. To the loyal fans of Peshawar Zalmi, I am truly sorry for letting you down,” Bosch said.
“This has been a hard lesson, but I am committed to learning from this experience and hope to return to the HBL PSL in the future with renewed dedication and the trust of the fans.”
With Corbin Bosch out Australian National Cricket Team all-rounder Mitchell Owen has been named as his replacement in the Peshawar Zalmi squad for the remainder of PSL 2025.
