Delhi Capitals beat Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs on Saturday (April 5). KL Rahul's excellent 77 off 51 helped the DC get to a formidable total of 183 on the board. In response, DC bowlers stood high, helping their side clinch a fine 25 runs victory.

Opting to bat first, Delhi Capitals had a shaky start, losing Jake Fraser-McGurk for a five-ball duck to Khaleel Ahmed. However, wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul and Abishek Porel stitched a crucial 54 runs stand together before the departure of Porel after his 33 off 20 balls.

Skipper Axar Patel came in and scored a quick-fire 21 runs cameo. While, KL Rahul held one end firm, scoring a brilliant 77 off just 51 deliveries and Tristan Stubbs gave a superb finishing, helping their side get to a competitive total of 183 runs on the board.

In reply, Chennai Super Kings had a horrible start, losing Rachin Ravindra Devon Conway and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad cheaply inside the powerplay. Vijay Shankar stood tall and held one end strongly. But wickets kept tumbling other ends. Vijay Shankar played a negative innings as he scored an unbeaten 69* off 54 balls and so did MS Dhoni as they both were unable to take their side home.
