In one of the most exciting games of the IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored an amazing 245 runs to beat Punjab Kings by 8 wickets in a game that had a total of 492 runs.  There were blazing fours and runs that broke records in Hyderabad.

Abhishek Sharma was the star of the night. He beat everyone with his bat, hitting 14 fours and 10 sixes and scoring 141 runs off of just 55 balls.  Not only did his hit seal the win, but it also set a number of IPL records.

·         Highest individual score for Sunrisers Hyderabad (Previous: David Warner – 126)

·         Most sixes in an innings by a SRH batter – 10 sixes (Previous: Warner – 8)

·         Most runs from boundaries in an innings for SRH – 116 runs (Previous: Jonny Bairstow – 90)

·         Third highest individual score in IPL history, only behind Chris Gayle (175*) and Brendon McCullum (158*)

·         Highest score by an Indian in IPL history, surpassing KL Rahul’s 132*

Opening partner Travis Head also did a great job, scoring 66 off of 37 balls to help SRH easily reach the huge target with 5 balls to spare.

Captain of the Punjab Kings, Shreyas Iyer, set the tone with a powerful 82 off 36 balls, which led his team to a huge score of 245/6.  But even with all the noise, Hyderabad's chase shocked his team.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami had another bad game with the ball. He conceded 75 runs in four overs without getting a wicket, which is now the worst spell by a Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler ever, beating Basil Thampi's 0/70.
