Bangladesh have bounced back in the Sylhet Test after the end of day three. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto's unbeaten 60* of 103 balls and Mominul Haque'd 47 helped the hosts get a slender lead of 112 runs. Blessing Muzarabani picked up two wickets and shone high on rain-hit day.
Najmul Hossain Shanto was comfortable with the bat, after being dropped on for 26, he made the tourists pay with his gutsy knock of 60*. The day saw only 44 overs being bowled, with rain and bad light stopping to play further. However, Bangladesh have put themselves to a strong corner now on 194-4, not a match winning one but definitely it will back them up for the next day.
Mominul Haque and Mahmudul Hasan Joy together stitched a crucial 60 off 97 deliveries before the departure of Joy after his well-made 33 off 65 deliveries to Blessing Muzarabani.
And then Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto came in and led his side to a strong zone as the duo were involved in two good partnerships, 65 for the 3rd wicket with experienced campaigner Mominul Haque, where the counterpart were gone scoring a superb 47. And then an unbeaten 39* run stand with wicketkeeper batter Jaker Ali as Bangladesh have stretched their lead to 112 runs.
Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is on 60* off 103 deliveries and the majority of the responsibility will be on his shoulders to come and score a big ton to steer Bangladesh to a safe zone with formidable lead.
