Zimbabwe have exhibited domination on the second day but Bangladesh bounced back at the tad backend of the day as well. Fifties from Brian Bennett and Sean Williams helped them Zimbabwean team get a team total of 273 runs. While the Bangladeshi Mehidy Hasan Miraz shone with a superb fifer. Zimbabwe didn't start well, losing Ben Curran earlier on the day to Nahid Rana. Hasan Mahmud then knocked over Nick Welch cheaply as Zimbabwe were stuttering earlier on.
Brian Bennett too then fell after his well made 57 off 64 deliveries. Sean Williams then added 41-run stand with Craig Ervine as the duo handled the intial blow of the day. Sean Williams brought up a fine fifty, scoring 59 off 108 balls.
When Zimbabwe were on a stage to put a mammoth total, Mehidy Hasan Miraz came in and spun a web, picking up a sensational fifer with the help of Nahid Rana's fine three fer, reducing Zimbabwe to 273 runs.
Although, Zimbabwe got a lead of 82 runs on their bag.
In response, Blessing Muzarabani gave Zimbabwe a massive start, getting Shadman Islam rid off after his 4 as Bangladesh fumbled earlier on. But Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Mominul Haque held on together, stitching up a superb 44 runs as the duo helped the hosts see thr day being unscathed. Bangladesh are on 57-1 and trailing the tourists by 25 runs.
Bangladesh will be hoping to have the settled duo out there for the entire morning of day three and add some lead on to it.
