The women's bowlers from Bangladesh are getting a lot of attention around the world.  After a great performance in the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifiers, Sharmin Akhter moved up to 21st in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings, which is the best ranking of her career.  Spinner Nahida Akter has now made it into the top 10 of the bowling rankings for the first time.

Sharmin made a big impression by getting three fifty runs in the playoffs, even though she only scored 24 runs in two games.  Her most impressive game was a perfect 94-run knock. In other games, she got 67 and 57.  She is now ranked 21st in the world, which is her best ranking to date, thanks to her good play.

The 25-year-old Nahida Akter continued to impress with how well she bowled.  She took six wickets in the tournament, including four against Scotland. This moved her up two spots in the ICC ODI Bowling Rankings to tenth place. The 12th player in the Qualifiers' Best XI was Rabeya Khan. She has moved up one spot to 22nd among bowlers.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty hit a hundred in the qualifiers. She has dropped two spots to 19th, but she is still the best batter from Bangladesh.  Fargana Hoque also fell one spot, to 24th.  At the moment, there are no other Bangladeshi batters in the top 50.

A big jump was made by Marufa Akter, who moved up six spots to 33rd on the all-rounders' list and eleven spots to 49th on the bowlers' list. She joined Nahida and Rabeya as the only Bangladeshi players in the top 50.
