Bangladesh's young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is making waves in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a great start to his season for Lahore Qalandars.  His team had a rough start to the game because Rishad was suddenly left out, but things turned around as soon as he came back.

The 21-year-old has taken six wickets in just two games, which has been a big part of Lahore's back-to-back wins.  Fans love him for being able to break teams and take charge of middle overs, and opponents respect him for it.

Rishad's addition was very important because he took three wickets in his first game of the season, which helped Lahore win a very important game.  In the next game, he did it again, taking 3 wickets, making him an even more important player for the reigning winners.

Even rival players are acknowledging Rishad’s rise. Multan Sultans’ batter Iftikhar Ahmed, who faced Rishad in both the PSL and BPL, spoke highly of the leg-spinner during a press conference, “Rishad is bowling really well. I’ve played with him in the BPL and seen his progress for Bangladesh too. He’s a quality leg-spinner. Whenever we face him, no matter what plans we make—we’ve got to execute them perfectly to deal with him,” said Iftikhar with a smile.

Speaking about his own team’s campaign, Iftikhar added, “We're not worried about run rate. Winning matches is all that matters. If we keep winning, we’ll make it to the playoffs. Our home ground in Multan always brings big crowds, and they’ll be backing us.”
