Bangladesh have etched its name in cricket history by securing its first-ever Test series win against Pakistan. After a dominant 10-wicket win in the first Test, the Tigers followed it up with a 6-wicket victory in the second Test at Rawalpindi, completing a historic whitewash of the home side. This remarkable achievement has catapulted Bangladesh to the fourth spot in the ICC Test Championship points table, led by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.
The series saw outstanding performances from both Bangladesh’s batters and bowlers. Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan emerged as the highest run-scorer of the series, amassing 294 runs at a staggering average of 98. Close on his heels was Bangladesh’s veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 216 runs at an impressive average of 108 across three innings, including a marathon knock of 191 runs.
