India's pace ace Jasprit Bumrah has joined struggling Mumbai Indians squad ahead of their match against the Royal Challengers Bangaluru on Monday at the Wankhede. Jasprit Bumrah will be a keyman for the struggling Mumbai Indians, who lost three matches out of four they've played this season so far.
Bumrah joined the MI squad on Saturday after getting clarence from the BCCI medical staff at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. It was the place where he had been recovering from his back injury.
Bumrah has been very cautious on his injury and he wanted to be fully fit before playing any game as India have five-match Test series against England away from home, which begins from June 28.
Mumbai Indians are struggling this season, playing four matches thus far and came up winning only in one instances, while losing the other three matches. Mumbai Indians have handed debuts to Satyanarayana Raju, Vignesh Puthur and Ashwani Kumar in Bumrah's absence. While Kiwi paceman Trent Boult and India's Deepak Chahar leading the pace attack with captain Hardik Pandya the other seam-bowling option in the line-up.
Jasprit Bumrah has played all his IPL cricket for Mumbai Indians, starting in 2013 and picking up 165 wickets in 133 matches over the years at a bowling average of 22.52 with the best figures of 5/10.
