India's dynamic wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has been named as the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants.

"The amount of strategising that was done revolved around Rishabh, it was done keeping him in mind," Goenka mentioned. On being asked about picking Pant as their skipper, Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of LSG revealed. "I think, time will prove that he is not only the most expensive player of IPL but also the best player of IPL."
Pant, who previously captained Delhi Capitals, expressed his excitement on this move. "Amazing, overwhelmed by all the things sir said about me," Pant replied after being named the new LSG skipper.
Since making Pant's IPL debut back in 2016, he has piled 3,284 runs in 111 matches at a jaw dropping average of 35.31, with an astonishing strike rate of 148.93, including 18 fifties and a solitary hundred.
