In the fifth-round match of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), Dhanmondi Sports Club beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by a score of 97 runs, continuing their strong run.  Captain Nurul Hasan Sohan took the lead with a great hundred, which earned him the Player of the Match award.

When Dhanmondi SC batted first at BKSP, they made a strong score of 277 for 9 in the 50 overs they were given.  When Nurul Hasan came in at No. 4, he played like a leader and is still unbeaten on 132 runs off 131 balls.  His innings had 13 fours and 4 sixes, which kept the innings going while other players made important contributions.

It got off to a fast start with a 45 off 42 balls from the opener, Habibur Rahman Sohan. In the middle order, Sanzamul Islam added 40 off 54 balls.  They didn't have much to be happy about as spinners for Shinepukur. Rayan Rahman took three wickets, and Rafi Uzzaman Rafi and Ali Mohammad Walid each took two.

Shinepukur CC had a hard time responding because their batting order fell apart under pressure.  Rahim Ahmed (42) and Minhajul Abedin (35) were the only ones who put up some fight, but it wasn't enough to beat Dhanmondi's score.  Shinepukur lost in the end, scoring 180 runs in 45.3 overs.

Sanzamul Islam took four wickets to lead Dhanmondi's bowling attack, and Kamrul Islam Rabbi added three more wickets to make the attack even stronger.  Dhanmondi won easily thanks to their disciplined bowling, which kept them in first place in the event.
