South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch got in trouble with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after pulling out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) even though Peshawar Zalmi had picked him up.  With the reason of breach of contract, PCB has officially sent a legal warning to Bosch after he signed with Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

This year, the IPL and PSL ran at the same time, so players had to choose between the two.  Cricketers who got contracts with IPL have naturally chosen that league over the PSL.  When it comes to Bosch, things are different. He had already signed with Peshawar Zalmi for the PSL's Diamond Category before Mumbai Indians picked him up on March 8 to replace injured pacer Lizaad Williams.

Bosch was picked up by Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) player draft on January 13 in Lahore.  But after his IPL deal was up, Bosch chose not to play in PSL, which was against PCB's contract.

The PCB is being firm and sent Bosch a legal warning through his agent.  The board asked him to explain why he was pulling out and told him what could happen if he broke his PSL contract.  PCB is waiting for a response within the time limit and has said it will not say anything else in public about the situation.

Even though Bosch hasn't played in the IPL yet, he has experience with the event.  He first played as a net bowler for Rajasthan Royals in 2022 before being picked up to replace Nathan Coulter-Nile.  He didn't get to play that season, though.

Bosch has been playing well lately in South Africa's SA20 League for MI Cape Town, a team owned by Mumbai Indians.  He was very important to their title run; he took 11 wickets at an economy rate of 8.68.  Likely, his play in SA20 was a big reason why Mumbai Indians chose to sign him for IPL 2025.
