Mithun dropped as Mushfiqur, Liton return for the Tigers
Except for Mohammad Mithun, all the players of the Australia series have been retained in the New Zealand series.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced 19-member squad for the five-match T20I series 2021 against New Zealand.
Except for Mohammad Mithun, all the players of the Australia series have been retained in the New Zealand series. However, it was almost confirmed before the announcement of the team. The team will begin their bio-bubble the period from August 24. Currently, they’re enjoying their vacation.
Opener Tamim Iqbal will miss the series again due to injury. He’s currently undergoing the rehabilitation process and BCB suggests him to wait another month to heal the injury. While Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das are back in the squad after they missed out on the Australia series due to Covid protocols. Spinner Aminul Islam Biplob has also returned to the squad,
New Zealand will reach Dhaka in the last week of the current month. The series will be the last opportunity for Bangladesh to test their players ahead of the T20 World Cup which is scheduled to start from October 17.
The series will start on September 1 and end on September 10. All the matches will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Bangladesh are in good form in the shortest format of cricket as they beat Australia by 4-1 in their last T20I series which was their first-ever bilateral series win against the Aussies too.
