As the Bengali calendar turns over to Pohela Boishakh 1432, the cricket stars of Bangladesh are getting into the holiday spirit. Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar, two star players on the national team, are enjoying the traditional New Year with family and friends this year because they have a break from international service at the right time.
Litton recently got back from Pakistan without being able to play in a game in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) because of an injury that happened too soon. He found comfort in spending time with his family. His daughter, who is about one and a half years old now, seemed the happy to have her dad home for the party. Litton posted a sweet picture of his family on Facebook. It shows Litton and his wife Sanchita smiling as they hold their daughter.
The national Test team is currently practicing, and Soumya Sarkar, who is part of the white-ball group, is also taking it easy. Taking to social media, he posted a happy picture of himself and his wife Priyonti dressed in traditional Bengali clothes.
Many other cricket professionals have also sent their Bengali New Year wishes on social media, so the duo isn't the only ones sharing holiday cheer. Everyone hopes that 1432 will bring happiness, growth, and sports success to Bangladesh, both on and off the pitch.
