Delhi Capitals crushed Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets on Tuesday (April 22). Mukesh Kumar's four wicket-haul and super spell from Mitchell Starc restricted LSG to a below par total of 159 runs. In response, fifties from Abishek Porel and KL Rahul handed DC a thrashing victory.

Being inserted to bat first, Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh started off to a flier, adding a superb 87-run opening stand before the departure of the former one after his 52 off 33 balls to Dushmantha Chameera. And then Mitchell Starc were brought back and he sent Nicholas Pooran's stumps for a walk.

Wickets kept tumbling and at the backend of the innings Ayush Badoni scored a little but effective cameo of 36 off 21 deliveries to help his side get to 159 runs on the board.

In response, Delhi Capitals too had a steady start as the opening duo of Karun Nair and Abishek Porel added 36 runs before Aiden Markram knocked over the stumps of Nair after his 15 off 9 balls. And then Abishek Porel and KL Rahul together steadied the ship for Delhi Capitals, adding a superb 69-run second wicket stand and uplifting DC inch closer the victory.

Markram again broke the partnership and got Porel rid off after his 51 off 36 balls. But skipper Axar Patel joined with the wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul and the duo steered DC home comfortably as the tourists claimed a big 8-wicket victory over LSG.
