Lahore Qalandars lost by 33 runs to the powerful Multan Sultans team, even though Rishad Hossain bowled very well in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match on Tuesday (April 22).

The game took place at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The hosts put on a batting show before restricting Lahore to 195/9 as they tried to reach 229.

Multan Sultans got off to a great start when they won the toss and chose to bat first.  From the start, Yasir Khan and Mohammad Rizwan played aggressively. They made 79 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay.  The basis for a big score was set by Yasir's damaging 87 off 44 balls.

Rishad Hossain was expensive at first, but he came back strong.  The leg spinner didn't get anyone out in his first two overs, but in his next spell, he got Usman Khan (39 off 24) and Ashton Turner (15 off 8).  He ended the game with scores of 4-0-45-2, making him Lahore's best bowler of the night.

Multan reached a huge 228/5 in 20 overs thanks to Iftikhar Ahmed's late blitz. He hit 40 off just 18 balls.

In reply, Lahore started well.  With 32 runs off of 14 balls, Fakhar Zaman looked dangerous, but the Qalandars lost speed quickly.  The top order couldn't make the most of their starts, and Rishad Hossain, who was moved up to No. 6, was out for just 2 runs off 4 balls.

There was some hope in the innings because Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza did a great job of attacking back.  Lahore got to a reasonable 195/9, but they were still a long way from the target. Billings hit 43 off 23 balls, and Raza remained unbeaten on 50 off 27 balls. Ubaid Shah was the best bower for Multan with 3 wickets.
