Australia beaten England by 33 runs on Saturday (4th November) at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. Adam Zampa's excellent outing both with the bat and bowl helped Aussies win the match over England and get valuable two points.

Earlier, English skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to bowl first. Coming out to bat Aussies lost both of their gun openers earlier on as Woakes struck with his seam bowling. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne then took the rein and stitched a fine partnership of 75 runs before Steve Smith got bamboozled by Adil Rashid. Marnus Labuschagne on the other hand, notched up a fine fifty and was going strongly for Aussies.

Labuschagne made a fine 71 off 83 balls. Mercus Stoinis scored a brisk 35 off 32 deliveries, while Cameron Green scored 47 from 52 balls. At the end, Adam Zampa had a fine innings with his willow and he scored everywhere of the park. And raced to 29 off 19 balls. And Australia finished on 286.
In reply, Starc started fiercely by removing Johny Bairstow for a golden duck. Joe Root too couldn’t hang on as he gone for 13 off 17 deliveries. Dawid Malan and Ben Stokes stitched a fine partnership of 84 runs before Malan fell to Cummins after notching up his fifty. Ben Stokes single handedly was pulling things off for England and was fighting hard. He made a fine 64 off 90 balls and gone to Adam Zampa. He then went for taking the wickets of English skipper Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali and England lost all of their hopes.
England were bundled for 253 and lost the match by 33 runs. With the loss they now got eliminated from the world cup and now are ranking at the bottom of the table.
