Bangladesh star cricketer Litton Das has been ruled out of the PSL 2025 before even playing a single game.  The star wicketkeeper-batter was about to make his Pakistan Super League start for Karachi Kings, but he broke his finger very slightly in practice, ending his adventure before it even began.

Litton stated on social media that he was hurt and talked about how sad he was that he missed the chance to play in one of the best franchise games in the world.

“Hope you all are well. I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least 2 weeks. So sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began,” Litton wrote.

The 30-year-old is now heading back to Bangladesh for recovery and has requested fans for their prayers and support during his recovery phase. “I'm flying back to Bangladesh and seeking your prayers & love for a quick recovery. Wishing the very best of luck to my team Karachi Kings,” he added.

There are other times when Litton has had a rough patch in franchise cricket.  He only played one game for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2023 before leaving early for personal reasons.  Now, PSL 2025 ends before his start because he got hurt too soon.

He was brought in by the Karachi Kings to back up wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert.  It's still not clear if the team will look for a candidate before their first game.

David Warner will lead the Karachi Kings as they start their PSL 10 season on April 12 against the Multan Sultans.  Since Litton isn't playing, Seifert is likely to start the first game of the event, which is set for 9 PM Bangladesh time.

Back in their own country, Bangladesh is getting ready for a Test series against Zimbabwe that starts later this month.  Litton didn't play in that game because the BCB gave him a full NOC for the PSL.  Sadly, the accident means he can't do either of the jobs.
