Usman Tariq, the off-spinner of Quetta Gladiators, has been reported for suspicious bowling during the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10
Usman Tariq, Quetta Gladiators off-spinner, has landed himself in hot water after being reported for suspicious bowling in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) game between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 13. The 27-year-old is in line for another bowling ban.
Usman can carry on bowling in future games as per the rules. But if he is reported once again, he will be suspended from bowling and will have to get clearance from an ICC-accredited lab before he can start again.
This is the second instance of the enigmatic spinner being reported for a suspect action during his PSL career.
He was earlier reported in a game against the Karachi Kings in the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League. Richard Illingworth and Asif Yaqoob were the on-field umpires for the game.
Interestingly, Usman Tariq was also reported for a suspected bowling offense in last year's PSL 9. He appeared in five matches of the PSL 9 and grabbed just two wickets.
The 2024 season concluded on a disappointing note for the 27-year-old, grabbing just two wickets in five matches. In the ongoing tenth edition, he has appeared in two matches and grabbed three wickets.
