Rishad Hossain’s magical debut propels Lahore Qalandars to crushing win in PSL
After winning the toss at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Quetta chose to field first, but the Qalandars put on a stunning hitting display that put them out of the game. Fakhar Zaman set the tone with a smooth 67 off 39 balls, and Sam Billings added the fireworks at the end with a perfect 50 off just 19 balls. In 20 overs, Lahore scored a scary 219/6.

Bangladesh young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain had an amazing first game in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He took three wickets for Lahore Qalandars and made an immediate effect. His clever spell was a big part of Lahore's 79-run win over Quetta Gladiators, which helped them get back on track after losing their first game in the event.
Lahore's batters were hard for Quetta's bowlers to control. Akeal Hosein and Abrar Ahmed each took two wickets, but they let runs slip at key times.
Because of this, Quetta's chase never really took off. They were down to 9 for 3 after just three overs because Lahore's fast bowlers were having a great time. Kusal Mendis and Rilee Rossouw tried to save the game. Mendis hit 28 off of 14 balls before being out by Haris Rauf. Rossouw stayed strong and hit a quick 44 off of 19, but he was bowled by Rishad Hossain in the ninth over, when the team was on 89.
When Rishad was brought in as the sixth bowler, he bowled slowly at first. After letting up only 7 runs in his first over, he went on to take 3 for 31 in 4 overs, which was enough to win the game. In his last over, the 13th of the game, he got two more wickets by getting rid of Mohammad Amir and Abrar Ahmed in the same over. This ended any hope that Quetta still had.
After that, things got worse for the Gladiators. They were bowled out for 140 runs, giving the Qalandars a huge 79-run win.
Besides the great work by Rishad, Sikandar Raza, Asif Afridi, and Shaheen Shah Afridi each took two wickets, and Haris Rauf grabbed one.
