The match was reduced to 14 overs due to heavy rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Yuzvendra Chahal was introduced in the middle overs and he successfully had the middle order in collapse as RCB were fumbling infront of their crowd. But Tim David stood up and the Australian hammered a sensational knock of 50* off 26 deliveries and helped his side get to 95 on the board.
In response, Josh Hazlewood was breathing fire and he tore apart the PBKS top order, scalping three wickets in quick time and put RCB in the contest again. But Nehal Wadhera came in and he he played a composed knock of 33* off 19 balls, including 3 sixes and 3 boundaries and helped his side chase down the total.
