The crucial match between the USA and Ireland has been called off due to heavy rain in Florida. The washout means USA are through to the Super-Eight of ICC Men's T20 World Cup for the very first time in history, while the one time champion Pakistan are eliminated from the tournament.

Pakistan are out of the tournament, USA are into the playoffs. 
The Florida has been raining heavily for a week and the city was under flood as well. On the match day, it was raining earlier on and the field had damps. USA needed a point to qualify for the playoffs, while Pakistan had to pray for USA's defeat to Ireland to keep up their chances alive for the tournament.

The mother nature didn’t hear to the prayers of Pakistan as the match between USA and Ireland has been washed out and USA are through to the playoffs with 5 points to their name. Pakistan currently have 2 points and they've Ireland match left and they max can have 4 points in their arsenal. So from Group 1, USA and India are through to the Super-Eight.

Pakistan on the other hand, had a tough tournament as they lost to USA in a super over and lost to their arch-rivals India in a low scoring affair, which lessened their chances for the playoffs.

The USA are seeded are Group B and they'll have South Africa, two times T20 World Cup champions West Indies and either Scotland or England.
