PSL franchise Karachi Kings extend support for Tamim Iqbal

Luckily, the on-site medical team moved quickly to stabilize him and then take him to KPJ Specialised Hospital. Even though a helicopter was sent, his state was too bad for it to be safe to fly.

Bangladesh’s cricketing icon Tamim Iqbal is currently in the KPJ Specialised Hospital in Savar healing from a major heart attack. The experienced opener had a heart attack during a March 24 Dhaka Premier League (DPL) game, which shocked people all over the world of sports.
Tamim was in charge of Mohammedan Sporting Club when he quickly started having terrible chest pains on the pitch. He fell down and lost consciousness in a matter of seconds. Luckily, the on-site medical team moved quickly to stabilize him and then take him to KPJ Specialised Hospital. Even though a helicopter was sent, his state was too bad for it to be safe to fly.
When Tamim got to the hospital, he had an angiography and then an emergency stent operation. He is now in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and is being watched by doctors 24 hours a day. His mother, wife Ayesha Siddiqa, and brother Nafees Iqbal are with him and are there to support him emotionally.
When people heard about Tamim's situation, they prayed and sent him their best wishes. This happened not only in Bangladesh, but all over the world. Supportive posts have been made on social media by a lot of people, from past cricket players to club teams. Manoj Tiwary, a former Indian cricket player, wrote a touching message on Facebook to wish Tamim a quick recovery. The IPL winners, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), also sent their wishes to support the Bangladeshi star.
Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings took to Facebook, writing, "Wishing a speedy recovery & good health to Tamim Iqbal! Get well soon!"
