Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Rajasthan Royals by to kick off their IPL 2025 season in style on Sunday (March 23) at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Ishan Kishan's blistering hundred and fifty from Head steered Hyderabad to a record-breaking total of 286 runs. In reply, Rajasthan Royals played out of their skin but were unable to chase down this mammoth total.

Being asked to bat first, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head started off to a flier, racing to 45 runs inside only 3.1 overs before the departure of the former one after his 24 off just 11 deliveries. Ishan Kishan joined Travis Head as the duo became more destructive and added 94 runs inside the powerplay. The duo added a quick-fire 85 runs off only 39 deliveries before Travis Head's fall following his swashbuckling 67 off only 31 balls.

Nitish Kumar Reddy then came with Ishan Kishan, as they too had another outstanding stand of 72 runs. Nitish Reddy departed after his 30 off just 15 deliveries, while Heinrich Klaasen came in to do the floater job, smashing a magnificent 34 off only 14 balls. While Ishan Kishan smashed a sensational hundred, scoring a blistering knock of 106* off just 47 balls, helping his side getting to a mammoth 286 on the board.

In reply, Simarjeet Singh removed Yashasvi Jaiswal earlier on. Skipper Riyan Parag too fell cheaply as Rajasthan Royals fell in trouble at the very beginning of the match. Mohammed Shami came in and got Nitish Rana rid off as Sunrisers Hyderabad were on top of the game. But Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel did the rebuild job, adding a massive 111-run stand off just 60 balls, where both of them notching up their respective fifties. But the top order damage ruled the RR out of the game. Shimron Hetmyer and Shivam Dube did try something to turn out some magic but SRH were too good and they claimed a fine 44-run victory.
