Shakib Al Hasan has not yet joined the team after coming back home from Lanka Premier League (LPL). However, the Bangladesh captain of three formats now has only two things in his dream - Asia Cup and ODI World Cup.

The Asia Cup will start this month, followed by the World Cup after the New Zealand series. That is, the Tigers will play consecutive games from the Asia Cup. Before that, Shakib participated in an awareness work in Barishal on Tuesday (August 22). Attending this program of free medicine distribution and blood donation, Shakib said that winning the Asia Cup and the World Cup is now his dream.

Shakib said, “Now the dream is World Cup and Asia Cup. The rest will be seen later.”

Appreciating programs like medicine distribution or blood donation, Shakib added, “I have an academy in Dhaka. I have my own cancer foundation. It is great to be associated with such an initiative. Please pray for Bangladesh cricket.”

Shakib once played BPL for Fortune Barishal. The world's best all-rounder is still attracted to Barishal even though he has changed his team. He further said, “I feel very good to come here. I haven’t visited Barishal much, as there are no international cricket matches. The chances of coming naturally are very low. It is very nice to come like this. Hope not only Barishal, all of Bangladesh will always support us. Barishal residents will also support a lot. We will do well in the upcoming World Cup and Asia Cup.”
