Partex Sporting Club beat Dhanmondi Sports Club by two wickets in a thrilling, low-scoring game at BKSP Ground 3 in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Ahrar Amin played brilliantly all around the field.

When Partex won the toss, they decided to bowl first.  Dhanmondi were well supported by Yasir Ali (90 off 106 balls) and Moin Khan (80 off 101 balls), but they were unable to build a strong score and were bowled out for 229 runs in 50 overs.

The bowling unit for Partex, led by Shohidul Islam, who took 5 wickets, kept things tight the whole time.  Amin contributed by taking 3 wickets, making his mark on the game right away.

Partex had some problems early on in the chase as a result.  Moinul Islam got a quick 24 off of 22 balls, and Sabbir Rahman's fiery 47 off of 44 balls looked like it would win the game for them, but wickets kept falling regularly.

Ahrar Amin came in and calmly held down the game by playing clean strokes consistently.  He made important connections and made sure that his team stayed close to the target.  It was his perfect 85 off 126 balls that made the difference.  Muktar Ali's short but important 30 off 31 late in the game also helped keep the chase going.

They needed a win badly, and Amin helped them get it with just 12 balls to spare and two wickets in hand.  On the other end, Naeem Islam Jr. was still undefeated with 3.

There was a moment when Sunzamul Islam, bowling for Dhanmondi, almost won the game because he took 5 wickets.
