While no major surprises are anticipated in the top categories the inclusion of these youngsters marks a significant milestone in their careers.
Abhishek Sharma who has made a mark in T20Is with his aggressive batting is expected to be named in Grade C which carries an annual retainership of ₹1 crore.
Under BCCI's policy any player who features in a minimum of three Tests, eight ODIs, or 10 T20Is in the eligibility window (October to September) qualifies for a contract on a pro-rata basis.
Nitish Kumar Reddy the Andhra all-rounder is also expected to make the list having featured in five Tests during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and four T20Is.
Right-arm pacer Harshit Rana despite playing only two Tests five ODIs, and one T20I is reportedly being considered for a central contract due to his growing role in the team setup.
There are unlikely to be major changes in the top-tier Grade A+ list. Veterans like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to retain their spots.
Players like Varun Chakravarthy and Shreyas Iyer are also expected to be part of the central contracts for the upcoming cycle.
