Mankad was once again a trending topic on twitter in Wednesday's match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab. This time Punjab's skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was not involved in this but indeed, he was engaged with the commencement of the entire discussion when he dismantled off the Mankad expulsion to send an overwhelming Jos Buttler back to the pavilion on Monday.
But it was totally a different scene Wednesday in the match between KKR and KXIP at Eden Garden. During King XI Punjab's innings, Mayank Agarwal was seen standing inches outside the crease at the non- striker’s end in one of
's overs.
While former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra tweeted, "Missed Opportunity....more bowlers need to start running batsmen out at the non-striker’s end. It’s a 22-yard pitch...don’t let them make it 20 yards. #Unfair."
While seeing the picture, former Aussie pace sensation Mitchell Johnson tweeted, "#bowlersfault #checkbowlersfrontfootfornoball."
“Mankad-ing” was become a hot topic in cricket world after Ashwin mankaded Buttler in the 4
th
game between
and Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday. After the incident, many cricketing fraternity slammed Ashwin for the incident and some also supported him. And undoubtedly, it will surely be a trending topic in the cricket world as well as on social media in the upcoming some days also.
