Comilla Victorians captain Litton Das is going to be punished for arguing with the umpire. Along with 15 percent of the match fee, 1 demerit point is added next to his name. Litton was seen arguing with the umpire during the qualifier against Rangpur Riders.   

BPL technical committee head Rakibul Hasan told BDCricTime about Litton's punishment, “Yes, Litton was informed about the punishment this morning (Wednesday). His behavior on Monday was in violation of the BPL code of conduct. An official statement will be made in this regard soon.”

Litton lost his temper on the field during the first qualifier match between Rangpur Riders and Comilla Victorians at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on February 26. The captain of Comilla was involved in an argument with the umpire Sharfuddoula who was on the field.

At the end of the eighth over of the first innings, Litton Das got into an argument with the umpire. At that time Litton was seen talking to the umpire quite excitedly. Later Comilla head coach Mohammad Salahuddin entered the field and stopped Litton.

However, Litton's Comilla won the match. Comilla Victorians confirmed the final by defeating Rangpur Riders by 6 wickets. In response to Rangpur's 185 for 6 wickets, Comilla won the match with 9 balls and 6 wickets in hand. Litton won the Man of the Match award after playing a spectacular innings of 83 runs.
