Shubman Gill engaged in a serious banter with on-field umpires after the third umpire, Nitin Menon decided to give not out without checking the ultra-edge technology. The incident took place during the 5th ball of the first over when Umesh Yadav trapped Devdutt Padikkal in front of the stumps.

The on-field umpire Virender Sharma gave out at first but after taking the review, Nitin Menon found that the ball hit the bat first from a side angle. But the debate started over when the third umpire didn't go on for the ultra-edge technology as Nitin Menon found the edge with his naked eyes.

In the end, Shubman Gill and co had to stay with Nitin Menon's decision of not out as he proved why he is one of the best in business on this platform. However, having a look at the previous encounter between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat.

Yash-Thakur LSG put up a decent total of 163 runs with the help of Marcus Stoinis's 58-run knock. KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran have been decent with the bat, scoring 33 and 32 runs respectively. Chasing the total, Gujarat Titans got a good start to their innings as their openers Wriddhiman Saha and KL Rahul added 54 runs for the opening wicket stand.

However, LSG bowlers, especially Krunal Pandya and Yash Thakur went through the opposition batting unit and bowled out them for 130 runs. Hence, Lucknow Super Giants registered their third win in this IPL and will be looking to come with positive intent in the rest of the games as well.
