According to reports, former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir is close to making a spectacular comeback to the team after a six-year absence.

Gambhir has become practically inseparable from KKR's success in the IPL, and his contributions to the team's championship runs in 2012 and 2014 are legendary.

During his seven years (2011-2017) with KKR, Gambhir was an integral part of the team as both a captain and a productive top-order batter.
