Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh recently predicted the semi-finalists of the much-awaited ICC World Cup, scheduled to begin on October 5. Yuvraj Singh stressed that all-rounders will play a crucial role in the upcoming main event in India.

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has picked five teams as front runners in the race to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, which will be played in India from October 5.

The ODI World Cup 2023 is just around the corner and with the main event set to begin on October 5, fans will be excited to see which team makes it all the way to victory and clinch the coveted title. Over the last few weeks, many former and current stars have taken center stage to give their opinion on who the four semi-finalists could be for the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also joined the fray. The former star came forward and named his four semi-finalists for the World Cup. Surprisingly, Yuvraj Singh named South Africa as one of his favorites for the semi-finalists. Apart from the Proteas, Yuvraj picked four other teams namely India, Australia, New Zealand and England.

Yuvraj Singh highlighted the importance of winning the World Cup for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as it might be their last World Cup. Yuvraj acknowledged the pressure on the team due to the 10-year ICC Trophy drought.

“The boys have to give it their all to win the World Cup for Rohit and Virat as you might not see them in any other World Cup. My relationship with Sachin was very special,” Yuvraj further added.

“I thought, 'I'm going to put my body on the line for this guy and for Team India.' They haven't won an ICC Trophy in 10 years so there will be pressure but it's just a matter of how they do it take care of that."

Yuvraj Singh was a standout performer during India's victorious campaign in 2021. He scored 362 runs at an impressive average of 90.50. He also contributed with the ball, taking 15 wickets. He was named Player of the Series for his all-round performance.
