The third match of IPL 2025 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 23, has sparked controversy following allegations of ball tampering against CSK pacer Khaleel Ahmed and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. While CSK emerged victorious chasing down MI’s total of 155 runs to win by four wickets a video circulating on social media has led to accusations of unfair play.

In the viral video Khaleel Ahmed who played a pivotal role with his three-wicket haul is seen taking something out of his pocket while being joined by captain Gaikwad.

The clip has raised suspicions among fans who claim it shows possible ball tampering. The interaction between the two players has fueled heated online debates with many questioning whether any unsporting actions took place during the game.

Despite the allegations Ruturaj Gaikwad,who scored a blistering 26-ball 53 focused on the team's overall performance when speaking after the match. Reflecting on CSK's narrow victory Gaikwad said:

"Right after I got out, I was walking, and there are often times when you end up getting the match slightly closer, but happy to be on the winning side. Would have loved to be more clinical, but that's how the game is."

Gaikwad praised his team’s spinners, who were instrumental in restricting MI to a below-par total. He added "The spinners were right on point. Right after the auction when we had these 3 in our team, the one thing we were all very excited was to see them play together at Chepauk. It was a good start"

"Khaleel has been doing well in the IPL since last 2-3 years now. He is someone with experience. Noor definitely is an X-factor and that's why we wanted him in the team. Good to have Ash bhai as well." He also added
