New Zealand National Cricket Team wrapped up the T20I series against Pakistan National Cricket Team with a dominant eight-wicket win in the final match at Sky Stadium, Wellington. The Kiwis took the series 4-1 thanks to a breathtaking knock from Tim Seifert who smashed an unbeaten 97 off just 38 balls.

Opting to bat first Pakistan had a nightmare start losing quick wickets. At 52-5, they were in deep trouble before skipper Salman Agha (51 off 39) and Shadab Khan (28 off 20) put up a fight with a 54-run stand.

New Zealand’s bowlers were all over Pakistan. Jimmy Neesham was the pick of the lot, taking a career-best 5-22. Jacob Duffy (2-18) also made early inroads dismissing Hasan Nawaz and Omair Yousuf. Despite the late resistance, Pakistan could only manage 128-9 in their 20 overs.

Chasing 129 Blackcaps wasted no time. Seifert came out with an aggressive mindset smashing 18 runs in the first over. He continued his onslaught scoring a blistering 97 off 38 balls taking the game away in no time. The chase was wrapped up in just 10 overs as New Zealand comfortably sealed the series.
