Zimbabwe is set for a thrilling international home season as they gear up to host South Africa and New Zealand for a series of high-profile matches between June 28 and August 11. Calling it "the biggest international home season we have had in years," Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) managing director Givemore Makoni highlighted the significance of the upcoming fixtures.

This will mark Zimbabwe’s first Test series against South Africa since December 2017 and the first time they’ll be hosting them since August 2014. It’s also their first Test encounter with New Zealand since the Black Caps toured in August 2016. The season kicks off with a two-Test series against South Africa, both matches set to be played in Bulawayo from June 28 and July 6.

After that, the action shifts to the shorter format, with a T20I tri-series featuring Zimbabwe, South Africa, and New Zealand. Running from July 14 to July 24, the league stage will see each team play twice, culminating in a final on July 26. The entire T20I series will take place in Harare.

Next up are the Test matches against New Zealand, both set to be played in Bulawayo on July 30 and August 7.

"This is the biggest international home season we have had in years, and it is an incredible opportunity for our players to test themselves against two of the world's cricketing powerhouses," Makoni said in a statement. "Hosting South Africa and New Zealand for both Test cricket and an exciting T20I tri-series is a fantastic development for the growth of the game in Zimbabwe.

"We are looking forward to welcoming the teams and putting on a great spectacle for our passionate cricket fans."
