Two former captains Minhajul Abedin Nannu and Habibul Bashar Sumon are getting a new place in the BCB despite losing their place from the selection panel of the national team. Both of them will be given jobs at some other level of the board - said BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon.

Long-serving Nannu-Bashar's last contract with the selection panel has already expired. However, their panel will be responsible till February 29. In that case, they may have to prepare the team for the Sri Lanka series.

After that, these two cricket stars can be seen in a new role on the board from March. Nazmul Hassan Papon also said that BCB is satisfied with its work as selectors.

He said, “The board has recognized their contribution to our cricket. We all agree we are very happy with their work. We don't want to lose them either. That is why the board has decided that we will keep them with us in other positions of the board.”

Minhajul Abedin Nannu has been the chief selector of the Bangladesh National Team since 2016. The Tigers have had some memorable successes under him. Although there are also heartbreaking failures. A few days after his retirement, Bashar also joined the selection panel. Abdur Razzak, who served with them, has also been placed on the new panel by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
