Delhi Capitals crashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets on Sunday (March 30). A sensational fifer from Mitchell Starc bowled SRH out for a measly 163 runs. In response, Faf Du Plessis' brisk fifty steered DC home.
Mitchell Starc bowled a sensational spell against Sunrisers Hyderabad, picking up a fifer while giving away only 35 runs.Opting to bat first, SRH lost their gun opener Abhishek Sharma in the very first over in run-out. And then Mitchell Starc ran riot, removing Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the same over. Coming back for the third over in his spell, he got the danger man Travis Head rid off as the SRH were stumbling on 37-4 inside the powerplay.
Aniket Verma and wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen then stitched a crucial stand together for 77 runs before Mohit Sharma broke the stand by removing the later one after his 32 off 19 balls. And then Kuldeep Yadav spun a web, running through the SRH middle order, while Mitchell Starc coming back for the last over to bag two wickets to bundle SRH for a paltry 163 runs and Mitchell Starc also completed his first fifer of T20 Cricket.
In response, Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk started off to a flier. Particularly du Plessis, who smashed a quick-fire fifty off just 26 deliveries before falling to debutant Zeeshan Ansari.
However, Jake Fraser-McGurk found it tough to go but eventually got his hands back and scored a brisk 38 off 32 balls to lay down a solid platform for the chase and eventually Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs made the things out comfortably to chase down the total.
