Bangladesh U19 captain Tamim skips SSC exams for Sri Lanka tour

The captain of the Bangladesh U19 team, Azizul Hakim Tamim, has chosen to skip his SSC exams and focus on cricket instead. The 17-year-old Khulna rising star was set to start taking his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) tests on April 10 at a school in Jashore. But because Bangladesh U19 is going on a trip of Sri Lanka this month, Tamim has put cricket ahead of school for now.
The young cricket player told BDCricTime that he had already told the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) about his choice and that his family fully supported him.
Tamim has been getting a lot of attention since he led Bangladesh to two straight U19 Asia Cup wins. His play in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) has been great, but he wasn't able to make a big difference in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Because of his growing fame, the young player is putting his future in cricket ahead of his current school obligations.
Late this month, the Bangladesh U19 team will go to Sri Lanka for a five-match ODI series. On April 24, there will be a warm-up match. From April 26 to May 8, there will be a five-match ODI series in Hambantota.
Because his plans overlap, Tamim has chosen to play for Bangladesh instead of participating in the SSC examination.
