Rod Tucker will feature in his 100th ODI in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-final between India and New Zealand.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match officials for the upcoming semi-final of the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023. The four teams are locked for the last four as India will take on New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium on November 15. The second semi-final between South Africa and Australia will take place at Eden Gardens.

The Australian and Richard Illingworth of England will be the on-field umpire for the clash between the host nation in Mumbai and the 2019 runners-up, who beat India at the same stage four years ago.

Illingworth was also the on-field umpire on that occasion when New Zealand won by 18 runs in a weather-affected match over two days at Old Trafford, while Tucker was the third umpire.

Tucker took part in his first ODI in January 2009 and is expected to be accompanied in his milestone match by third umpire Joel Wilson, fourth umpire Adrian Holdstock and umpire Andy Pycroft.

Richard Kettleborough also reached a century in ODIs in the competition and will be looking to add to his tally when he takes charge of the second semi-final between Australia and South Africa in Kolkata.

Kettleborough's milestone was reached on October 21 when the Netherlands played Sri Lanka and this would be the third consecutive World Cup in which he had overseen a semi-final.

He will be supported on the field by Nitin Menon, who is officiating his first World Cup, while Chris Gaffaney will act as third umpire. Michael Gough (fourth umpire) and Javagal Srinath (match referee) complete the quintet.

Another milestone during the World Cup was Ahsan Raza's 50th ODI in the match between England and Netherlands on November 8 in Pune.

ICC Umpires and Referees Manager Sean Easey congratulated the match officials on their efforts.

“We are pleased to announce the match officials for the World Cup semi-finals. The refereeing team have performed well up to this point in the event and I wish the players all the best in the round of 16.”

“I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Rod and Richard on their milestones during this World Cup. Such successes are only achieved through consistently strong performances, which is a credit to each of them.”
