Litton's 70 helps Comilla to end Sylhet's winning streak
Chasing the target, it was the in-form batter Litton Das, who fought alone for Comilla and secured the win for the team. Litton and Mohammad Rizwan made a 57-run partnership in the opening wicket in 7.1 overs where Rizwan’s contribution was only 15 runs from 18 balls.

Comilla Victorians have ended Sylhet Strikers’ five-match winning streak with a 5-wicket win on Tuesday (January 17) in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Sylhet are still at top of the points table with 10 points and Comilla’s two-straight victory moves them to the top four of the points table.
After being sent to bat first, Sylhet’s batting collapsed miserably as they lost wickets at regular intervals from the beginning and were 53/7 in 9.3 overs at one stage. Imad Wasim and Thisara Perera rescued the table toppers from that situation and helped the team to post a respectable score of 133 runs in 20 overs. They made an 80-run unbeaten partnership for the eighth wicket.
Imad and Thisara remained unbeaten on 40 runs from 33 balls and 43 runs from 31 balls, respectively. Hasan Ali and Mukidul Islam both took two wickets each for Comilla while Abu Hider Rony and Tanvir Islam had one each.
Captain Imrul Kayes also got out after scoring 18 runs from 19 balls.
But Litton Das kept the run-chase in control and picked up a half-century. When he was dismissed in the 15th over for team’s 111 runs, Comilla were just 23 runs away from the win from 33 balls. Litton played an impeccable innings of 70 runs from 42 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes.
Comilla lost Khushdil Shah and Jaker Ali also after that but Johnson Charles (18* off 18 balls) and Mosaddek Hossain (5* off 9 balls) grabbed the win with 6 balls in hand. Sylhet captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was the best bowler for Sylhet with two wickets.
