Hridoy, Shanto, Shoriful, Litton, Tamim remain unsold in LPL 2024 auction

The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 auction has been ended successfully where Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed got a team, except him no other Bangladesh cricketers got a team in the auction.
Before the action, Dambulla Thunders signed pacer Mustafizur Rahman in a direct contract.
Coming back to action, Towhid Hridoy, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, veteran Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, young Shoriful Islam all were unsold in the auction.
Hridoy performed very well in the last season of Lanka Premier League (LPL). At one stage he was the highest run-scorer of the tournament. However, this cricketer who played for Jaffna Kings did not get a team in this year's LPL.
Among them, Litton and Shoriful's base price was USD 30,000. The base price of Hridoy and Shanto was USD 40,000. And Mushfiqur's base price was USD 50,000. Shoriful also played in the last edition of the LPL.
Despite retiring from international T20, former Bangladesh captain Tamim is still playing in different T20 tournaments. He was the best player in the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). However, this opener did not get a team in this year’s LPL auction. Tamim’s base price was USD 40,000.
However, Colombo Strikers bought Taskin Ahmed for a base price of USD 50,000.
