Gaikwad, Jaiswal, Arshdeep named in India squad for Asian Games
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been nominated captain of the Indian men's T20 squad for the forthcoming Asian Games. Six cricketers from the announced team for the T20 series against West Indies have been placed in the 15-member squad pf Asian Games.

India have announced its 19th Asian Games men's team for the September 19-October 8 competition in Hangzhou.
ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will start in India from October 5. So as the Asian Games will be organized in the T20 format, the teams will send the cricketers who are not in the ODI squad.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been nominated captain of the Indian men's T20 squad for the forthcoming Asian Games. Six cricketers from the announced team for the T20 series against West Indies have been placed in the 15-member squad pf Asian Games. They are Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
In the team, Rinku Singh, who came into discussion with hard-hitting batting in IPL, is in the team. In the last IPL, Rinku hit five sixes in the last over to win the match for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Besides, Shivam Dube, who last played for India in 2020, has returned to the team. However, Dube shined in the latest IPL. He played an innings of 32 runs off 21 balls in the final for the champions Chennai Super Kings.
After the 2010 and 2014 editions, cricket has returned to the Asian Games. Bangladesh won the gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games and Sri Lanka in the 2014 Asian Games.
