Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 328 runs to kick off the two match test series on Monday (25th March) at Sylhet international Cricket stadium, Sylhet. Twin centuries from Dhananjaya De Silva and Kamindu Mendis and a fifer from Kasun Rajitha gave Sri Lanka a thumping win over Bangladesh.

Captain Dhananjaya De Silva was leading from the front. Whenever his side was on the verge of gliding down, he came up being a medieval warrior to save his nation. In the first innings, when Sri Lanka were stuttering at 57-5, Dhananjaya smashed a brilliant hundred [102 off 131] to bail out his side. Even in the second session when Sri Lanka were marginalised to 126-6 he again rose to the occasion and whacked his way to 108 off 179 balls to hand Sri Lanka a dominating 328 run win.

In the press conference he said he's enjoying his captaincy very much.

"Yes I captained 'A' team and club Cricket. In the team there were 3 former captains, also the ODI captain as well. Them and the management backed me up. That's why captaincy wasn’t extra pressure to me. I'm passing a great time as a the captain of the side." - Dhananjaya De Silva after the match.
