Tanzid Hasan Tamim could not reach fifty for only 1 run. However, Chattogram Challengers did not have much problem with that. In the first match of the day in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Chattogram Challengers got an easy victory by beating Durdanto Dhaka by 6 wickets.

Chattogram won the toss at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur and sent Dhaka to bat first. Coming down to bat, Dhaka struggled at the beginning. The team lost 4 wickets for just 33 runs.

Irfan Sukkur emerged as the savior of the team at that moment of great pressure and Lasith Croospulle came in as a concussion sub. Due to the intelligent and effective batting of the two, Dhaka's innings came to light. 73 runs came from the pair of the two. Croospulle played an innings of 46 runs off 31 balls and got out at the team's 105 runs.

Later Irfan Sukkur also got out. Irfan played an innings of 27 runs off 26 balls. Taskin Ahmed started attacking with the bat at the end. He played a small cameo innings of 15 runs off 9 balls. At the end of the scheduled 20-over, Dhaka lost 8 wickets and accumulated 136 runs.

Bilal Khan and Al-Amin Hossain took 2 wickets each for Chattogram. Besides, Shuvagata Hom, Nihaduzzaman, and Curtis Campher got 1 wicket each.

Coming down to reply, Chattogram have started just opposite to Dhaka. Chattogram’s batters kept the Dhaka bowlers under pressure from the start with great batting. 19 runs came from an eventful first over. However, opener Avishka Fernando got out after scoring 12 runs off 6 balls in the last ball of the over. Imranuzzaman also failed at No. 3. He scored 1 run from 3 balls.

But the surviving opener, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, was brilliant. From the beginning, he started scoring runs on top of the Dhaka bowlers. Due to his effective batting, the team's run wheel was active. Chattogram scored 54 runs after losing 2 wickets from 6 overs of powerplay.

Even at the end of the powerplay, Tanzid was very responsible with the bat. Shahadat Hossain Dipu gave him some support but his scoring rate was slow. Dipu went back to dressing room after scoring 22 runs from 31 balls at the team's 81 runs. Even after that, Tanzid showed his game. Chattogram was moving towards victory little by little with his responsible batting.

Najibullah Zadran joined Tanzid in the end. Tanzid had gone very close to fifty. But at the end, he was out just 1 run away from fifty. He played an innings of 49 runs off 40 balls before getting out.

In the end, Najibullah Zadran led the team to victory with Shuvagata. Chattogram won easily with Najibullah's aggressive batting. They won by 6 wickets with 10 balls in hand. Najibullah survived by playing an innings of 32 runs off 19 balls. On the other hand, Shuvagata was unbeaten on 7 runs from 11 balls. 

Shoriful Islam took 2 wickets for Dhaka. Besides, Usman Qadir and Taskin Ahmed got 1 wicket each.
