2.Parthiv Patel

Parthiv Patel announced his retirement from the game, just a few days back. He made his national debut when he was just 17 and became the youngest wicketkeeper to play for India. But the irony is he kept wicket for India with only nine fingers in the hand. He lost his baby finger in his left hand when he was 6. His fingers went in between the doors and eventually had a cut. Due to that, he had to tape his finger before donning the wicket-keeping gloves.

3.Matthew Wade

Australian wicket-keeper batsman Matthew Wade has an impressive story beside him. Probably it is a lesser-known one too. The Aussie player was diagnosed with testicular cancer when he was 16. He underwent many chemo sessions and recovered fully from that. Now he has been a successful player for Australia.

4.Martin Guptill

The story of New Zealand's right-handed batsman Martin Guptill is probably the well-known one among the people around the game. The Kiwi batsman lost three toes of his left leg when he was 13 after a forklift accident. Playing with only two toes in a log is not an ordinary thing. Still, he has been a prominent player in the New Zealand limited-overs team.

The young left-arm fast bowler is the latest sensation in the game. Natarajan came from a very rural background and has become a promising left-arm fast bowler for India. Former Pakistan right-handed batsman Mohammad Yousuf also has a similar story to that of Natarajan. He brought in a poor background and was working as a tailor in his childhood.
