Australia thumped India on the final and won their 6th title. Travis Head's unreal hundred and Marnus Labuschagne's gutsy fifty helped them chase down India's 241. Before the chase, Mitchell Starc - Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood's glorious bowling had skittled India for a paltry 240 which Australia chased down easily.

Earlier the grand final, Aussie skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and he took no time to choose bowl first. Coming out to bat, Rohit Sharma started off to flier. He took on the Aussie bowlers and he raced to 47 off just 31 balls. Shubman Gill couldn’t cope up with the pressure and fell to Mitchell Starc. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul stitched a fine partnership of 67 runs before Kohli fell to Pat Cummins and made silent the entire Ahmedabad. KL Rahul scored a gutsy 66 off 107 balls. India were timid infront of the quality Aussie pace attack.
Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc were breathing fire and India were doomed by the attack. India could only score 240 on the board and Starc took 3 wickets, Cummins had 2 wickets.

In reply, Aussies shuttered earlier as they lost 3 quick wickets. Smith was trapped infront of LBW but he wasn’t out anyway. But Smith didn’t take reviews and so he had to get back to dugout.

Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne then stitched a fine partnership. Labuschagne played the second fiddle role and gave strikes to Head. Head was taking on the Indian bowlers. He smashed the Indians everywhere of the park. India were sliced into a corner. And couldn't make a comeback. Head notched up his hundred and made the Indians out of the world cup.

The duo added 192 runs where Head made a swashbuckling 137 runs Labuschagne scored an unbeaten 58 off 110 balls to win the 6th title by 6 wickets. Australia broke India's 10 matches streak win and kept their streak going on. Now Australia have won 6 world cups. And two in Asia.
